Buchanan is referring to how illegal immigrants get into America through our border. Mexican mainly come into the United State illegally by crossing the border between us and Mexico. African immigrants were brought here illegally on slave ships. American open the doors to illegal immigration when they stolen African from them homes and sold them here. When Buchanan tries to convince us to stop immigration, he is basically want us to undone America (rewrite history). Buchanan also states that “For a country that cannot control its borders isn’t fully sovereign; indeed, it is not even a country anymore”(Buchanan, 29).Buchanan believe that because of our lack of control near the borders we’re lost the privilege of being sovereign-possessing supreme or ultimate power as a country.
