These immigrants are labeled as illegal because it is easier to treat them unfair and to take advantage of them. The people in power use the illegal immigrants to gain profitably by degrading them to work the hardest job, receiving low wages and giving no benefits (753). Smith has a good example in explaining these because I have family members that are illegal and they don’t get the same pay or benefits that some of the citizen people get. They are afraid to be unemployed because they will lose income and resources to sustain their living. Sometimes, some of these families work during the season they had to relocate which mean they had to move town to town or state to follow the farming season to make money for their family. They must accept substandard housing such as section 8 or low-income housing because regular hosing is not easily obtainable to them. To solve this the government need pass registration such as the DREAM ACT which their acronym stand for Development, relief and Education for Alien Minors which allow undocumented students to continues there education (Fitz). Therefore, it would add $329 billion dollars in revenue by the end of 2030(Fitz). So, this would make undocumented people pay more in taxes due to higher pay job.
