The issue in regards to obesity in adolescents has been an issue for quite some time. If you are a young adult struggling with obesity you know something needs to be done. There are multiple options available, but how do you know which is right for you. There are hundreds of diet plans available, but some resort to weight loss surgery. When I was younger I struggled with weight loss. I tried multiple diets and seemed to fail at all of them. I then took that step and had Gastric Bypass at the age of 21. There are many different procedures available, gastric bypass, the sleeve method, and lap band. I know from my experience the details of gastric bypass and I also know others who have had the sleeve and lap band. In this paper I will discuss the various options and attempt to answer questions in regards to choosing which one would be the best fit for young adults who have multiple years of life ahead of them.
