The Spanish made the Amerindians their slaves and gave their foreign diseases they brought to America to them causing them to decimate the Amerindian population, which benefitted the Spanish since they could take over the Native American’s land. Their goal eventually was to eliminate all of them. Another example of people mistreating the Native Americans was when the English took the Native’s generosity for granted by shooting them while continuing to move, taking the Native’s land when they promised to stop expanding. The relationship between the French and Native Americans were the best because the French knew that they needed the Native’s help in order to survive in this new land.
