Since the building contractors will need a mass number of workers for the rebuilding projects, this will give qualified residents of New Orleans another employment opportunity. By providing more job opportunities in New Orleans, this helps relieve economic stress within the community which has been associated with one of the many causes of murder. After the completion of the homes and businesses, the residents of the city will be able to apply for more and better jobs. They will also be able to reclaim the homes that were lost due to the hurricane. It is understandable that many may fear that rebuilding the city will be both a waste of time and money because it is very likely that the city will be destroyed by another natural disaster.
