Juana Bormann had a German Shepard that she would let tear apart prisoners. Herta Bothe was known for her brutal beatings. She used a pistol on the prisoners. A survivor claimed to see her beat a prisoner to death with a wooden block. Hildegard Lachert was infamous for her striking the prisoners until blood showed. She would release her dog onto prisoners. She also took part in the gas chamber selections. Ruth Neudeck was very cruel in ways that many have told. A former french prisoner had said they saw her slit another prisoner’s throat with the sharp end of a shovel. She was responsible for over 5,000 deaths. (Herta Bothe) On April 15, 1945 the British Army liberated Bergen-Belsen. However they weren’t able to rescue inmates. They found over 50,000 dead or barely living corpse. After the war Herta Bothe was charged with committing war crimes. At the Bergen-Belsen trial, she received a 10 year sentence. November 1947, The former SS women Hildegard Lachert appeared in court with 40 others. Because of her war crimes at Auschwitz was given a 15 year sentence. She went back to another trial, for taking part in the selections, releasing her dog onto inmates, and her abuse. She was finally sentenced another 12 years in prison. In late April 1945, Ruth Neudeck fled the camp and was later captured and detained in prison. The British Army investigated the allegations made against her. She later admitted the accusations made against her. She was sentenced to death and was later executed.
