There is more to this world than what is out in your backyard. People often stick to what they know out of fear of feeling dumb. It is this fear that perpetrates ignorance and leads to the issues that we currently face with intercultural relations. We as a people need to become more aware of the greater world and the cultures within it. The best way to counter this ignorance is by making ourselves familiar with these cultures, and becoming familiar with the people in them. Some cultures people hate due to ignorance, some cultures are mocked due to misinformation, and some are completely unknown to most people. The capital of Morocco is Rabat, and the largest city is Casa Blanca. The terrain of Morocco consists of a mountainous coast and interior, bordered by large plateaus and valleys, as well as coastal plains. The population of Morocco is currently around 33,655,768 and the major ethnic group is Arab-Berber. The official languages of Morocco are Arabic and Tamazight, with French, Tachelhit, and Tarifit also being spoken, but not as often. Morocco is a predominantly Islamic country, with 99% of the country being Muslim. The population of Morocco is mostly urbanized with the highest population density being in the cities along the coast. The Moroccan government is a parliamentary constitutional monarchy, with the chief of state being King Mohammed VI, and the government head being Prime Minister Abdelillah Benkirane. The rest of the government consists of a chamber of advisors, chamber of representatives, and a Supreme Court. As for the Moroccan economy it has been steadily growing since 1999 after King Mohammed VI took the throne, making a turnaround from the heavy debts that Morocca acquired in the 1980s.
