When diagnosing breast cancer doctors have five different ways to test and figure out whether or not a person has breast cancer. The doctor can do a simple breast exam where he checks both breast and armpits for any lumps or other abnormalities, a mammogram, breast ultrasound that uses waves to produces images or structures deep within the body, that will also tell whether it is a solid mass or just a fluid-filled cyst, a breast MRI that creates pictures of the interior of the breast can be used to determine if someone has breast cancer. They also might remove a sample of breast to send it to the lab for testing(biopsy). A biopsy sample is also analyzed to determine the type of cells involved in the breast cancer, the aggressiveness (grade) of the cancer, and whether the cancer cells have hormone(Staff, M.C. 2015). Another way to make sure that you are on top of checking for breast cancer is to do a simple breast exam on yourself. After figuring out that a person has breast cancer the next step is to find out how aggressive it may be and the cells involved in the cancer. With breast cancer there are four stages. With this essay people are more educated about breast cancer and it will help them have a better chance to survive. Getting checked out is a good thing and when people are around 50 years old it is highly recommended to get routine breast exams from a doctor. It will only increase survival for people and help promote a healthier happier life. If people do not get checked out they will have to go through all the treatment and the side affects that come along with it. Do not wait until it is too late. Get educated on breast cancer, that way it will not take people out of the world, but instead people will take it out of the
