The weather that comes with the witches symbolize the corruption that is about to happen in the play. This is the point in the play where Macbeth and Banquo both find out what their future holds and all hell breaks loose from then on. Lady Macbeth is a major character throughout the story and is also the main reason Macbeth becomes a trader and a coward. Lady Macbeth symbolizes strength and power that her husband doesn 't seem to have. She steals him of his manhood and basically tells him what to do in order to make him king and her queen. She is represented as the “man” or the one with all the power. Kesur agrees with this by saying “Lady Macbeth emerges and drives the hesitant Macbeth to act; she is the willing propelling his achievements. Once Lady Macbeth hears of the witches prophecy, Duncan’s life is doomed”(5562). This shows that Lady Macbeth is the one with the real power and Macbeth is the one just doing all her dirty work. On the other hand, in the movie Scotland P.A. the first scene opens with three hippies who are supposed to symbolize the three witches from the play. In the play during act 1 scene 5 Lady Macbeth is addressing the dark spirits and basically asking them to make her more of a man so that she can seize the throne. At the same time, the language of this speech touches on the theme of masculinity “unsex me here / . . . / . . . Come to my woman’s breasts, / And take my milk for gall,”(Shakespeare) Lady Macbeth says as she prepares herself to commit murder. This paints a very sharp image of Lady Macbeth begging to be more like a man. During the play Lady Macbeth says “Have plucked my nipple form his boneless gums and dashed the brains out, had I so sworn as you have done to this”(Shakespeare) Kesur agrees with this by saying “Here Lady Macbeth is saying that if she had taken up a task such as this one, she would have murdered her own baby rather than break a promise such as this one.”(5563). Not only does this show that Lady Macbeth is the one in charge it also paints the image of how cruel and evil Lady Macbeth can really be, that she is willing to kill her own child just so she can be queen. In the movie, when Duncan gets put into the deep fryer can definitely paint the image again of how cruel and evil not only Lady Macbeth is but at this point so it Macbeth. The imagery of the hippies themselves relates the to play since the hippies are men/women and the witches are women with beards. All of this relates to the plot which relates to theme that once you become powerful, it
