So it could be seen that the Africans have little hope for improving their lives unless they get help from outside sources.
In this regard the Atlantic Slave Trade is doing an excellent job and helping the slaves to live a better life. The company is paying (or rather ransoming) for the slaves and then transporting them to America with no costs to the slaves. The company then sells the slaves to good buyers and they get their money back which they had invested in freeing and transporting the slaves. The buyers on the other hand take full responsibility for the slaves. They act as the head of the family and take total responsibilities of their slaves which start from feeding the slaves to clothing them and looking after them in their illnesses. Of course the slaves have to work for their masters or the masters would not be able to support such large numbers of people entrusted in their care. The fact remains that in the absence of these masters and the Atlantic Slave Trade company the slaves would have led a much worse life. Their futures would have been destined to the darkness and ignorance of the African soil and they would retain the same wildness which Africa produces. The Africans become exposed to the morality of the Western world and they therefore become smarter and gain the required wisdom to uplift themselves spiritually. The Africans are "primitive pagans with little capacity for government, education, or advancement" and they "willingly accepted slavery because they lacked intellect and ambition" 2. "All that can be done in such a Case is, to communicate as much Liberty, and Happiness, as such circumstances will admit, and the People will consent to: And this is certainly by the Guinea Trade" 3.
Thus, it can be seen that the Atlantic Slave Trade is a blessing in disguise for these black people as it is providing them with new opportunities and identities and helping to uplift themselves spiritually in life, and therefore, the Atlantic Slave Trade Company must not be condemned but commended for their efforts in civilizing these
