This essay is a written accord of the theory of libertarianism, is liberty present in the current state of society, is it necessary to achieve peace or to reach a more enlightened society. How as liberty changed since its first conception, is freedom and liberty correlated or they 2 different concepts with similar ideals.
What is liberty? What is freedom? What is independence? Then I ask you, are these necessary for peace, are there necessary for enlightenment. If you never had liberty would it be different from if you had would it change your perception on life and society. His main concern is the political and social order, how humans can preside together in peace while avoiding the dangers and terrors of civil conflict. His solution is that society should pledge their obedience and well being to an unaccountable sovereign (Leviathan) otherwise what awaits us is a state of nature that is vaguely like civil conflict and war. Hobbes concept of “the state if nature” is what would exist if there were no government, no civilization, no common power to restrain human nature, Hobbes described it as the “war of all against all,” where by human beings constantly seek the destruction and condemnation of each other in pursuit for power. “Life in the state of nature is nasty, brutish and short.” The state in nature in my opinion is a real or hypothetical condition of human beings without or lacking political association, the theory relies on the basis that their selfish and greedy beings who only function to forward their own agendas. Hobbes then imposed the solution that lays the conditions that “to escape this people would enter into a social contract; they would give up their freedom in return for the safety and order of an organized society.” The people would have to sacrifice their very liberties and freedom to achieve a more peaceful society however even though the society is trifled with corruption and injustices it is great if there’s peace and
