So, we had their leader, the Pope, who calls himself Nicholas V, concentrate his politics to bringing together all the Christian princes to help defend our Christian city. However, due to their infighting, along with our differences to not also being Latin, very few of the Romans came to help us. Those who chose to come were of very little help toward our cause.
The attack came without any warning, which is normally accustomed to our style of battle. This only further showed the Turks ruthlessness toward our city.
