The conservation status for the koala is vulnerable. The conservation status is indicating whether the organism is likely to be extinct currently or in the future. As the koala is vulnerable this means its unprotected and there is a risk and possibility that it could be harmed physically if its exposed to danger. The koala is currently exposed to danger due to the land clearing, bushfires, the dieback of trees, koala predators, diseases and koalas are getting hit by cars.
