Born on October 27, 1940, in the South Bronx, New York, John Gotti would face run-ins with the law several times, including a four-year prison term for manslaughter, before becoming head of the Gambino crime family. Nicknamed "Teflon Don" for his ability to remain free, Gotti was eventually convicted on multiple criminal counts and sentenced to life in prison. He died on June 10, 2002. (1940-2002)

A major crime was in May of 1973, while Gotti was captain of Fatico's crew. He committed his first murder, the shooting death of Jimmy McBratney. He kidnapped and murdered a member of the Gambino family. Gotti was doing revenge, but he was less than discreet, leaving multiple witnesses at the scene of the crime. Gotti was arrested in 1974 after several bystanders identified him in a photo line-up. In Sparks’ Steak House, a popular hangout for major criminals. On the evening of December 16, 1985, 70 year old mafioso Paul Castellano. The apparent successor of recently deceased Gambino boss Aniello Dellacroce. He was gunned down along with his number two in command, Thomas Bilotti, in front of the restaurant. He did drug dealing, money laundry, gambling, drug trafficking, extortion, and stock fraud. His first murder was on May 1973 by Jimmy McBratney, McBratney killed one of the Gambino gang members. They were caught in December 1990, the agents and NYPD detectives arrested
