JFK uses logos in his saying that lasting peace won’t be certain if one out of every four German don’t have the choice of free rights (JFK 1963). He wants democracy to be the choice that allows free rights, JFK does state that it’s not perfect but doesn’t need a wall to keep Germans from leaving. JFK uses pathos in the sense that how husbands and wives and brothers and sisters have been kept apart from each other because of this wall, his brings emotions to the West Berlin citizens because they can relate and probably have family on the other side that they miss. JFK uses ethos in the way that he talks about how all citizens have a right to freedom, this is something that is ethical. He is also ethical because he talks about how he wants “peace with justice” and how he wants Europe to be hopeful, these are all ethical contributor factors to boast his
