Register to read the introduction… It is possible to do so when individuals are aware of what encourages morality in their daily lives; they recognize that religion as an important expression of human experience and what causes people, Atheists, to lose belief in the transcendent. Every so often, when people use the word ‘morality’ they tend to categorize it by saying morality of this group or that society; “Christian morality,” “Nazi morality,” or “the Islamic morality”, but in reality ‘morality’ has a simple meaning and should be universal in thought and practice. “Morality demands only that you avoid unjustifiable violations of the moral rules; when this demand is met, it encourages any action on the moral ideals” (Gert 2005). Simply, if your avoid actions that you would not want done to yourself you are encouraging morality within yourself and the bystanders. Since moral judgements can be made about and by all rational people, it is apparent that morality is universal and the different moral systems present in our society are just specifications or variations of a universal moral system. Despite the fact that religions have different set of guidelines, and the manifestation of these guidelines in their respective societies vary, the message and meaning behind is widespread. Evolution affects people as a great cost; it demands singularity as it influences you to do something against your nature. For instance, you might have to act a different way with different people depending on your beliefs on morality and religion. Religion is a reinforcement for morality because it acts as a contributing factor in our daily survival since it helps people to develop the skills of reflection, judgement, critical thinking and deciding how to act when making moral decisions, which has different outcomes for both religious and non-religious people. To begin, religious and moral education enables children, young people, adults and seniors to explore the different views which are independent of religious beliefs and to consider the challenges posed by these beliefs and values in society. By learning about religion and morals, the people are able to reflect upon their values and their capacity for moral judgement. For instance, “Religious and moral education is a process where children and young people engage in a search for meaning, value and purpose in life. This involves both the exploration of beliefs and values and the how such beliefs and values are expressed in real life” (Bergson 1935).
