My text is demonstrating that society has portrayed women to be this idealistic human whereas in reality women should be what they want to be and not what others want to see.
My main points of my argument include where gender roles originated, how gender roles in society have changed in the past 50 years, how society portrays women and how the expectations of women in society reflect on their self-doubt and self-hate of themselves.

Whereas 50 or so years ago each gender had their own designated list of roles.

In actual fact, most women in music videos are fake. This is proven through their hair, their nails, their breasts, butts and faces. They also wear skimpy clothing whereas India is saying that she is a genuine women who isn't afraid of being herself. When she sings “And I ain’t built like a supermodel But I learned to love myself unconditionally” she is saying that men shouldn’t diss women because they don't have a models body. The songwriter is saying that she knows she doesn't have a body of a supermodel but instead she's embracing the natural body she was given and she's comfortable in her own
