Have you ever earned your badge in boy scouts for destroying an enemy tank? Members of the Hitler Youth earned badges like this, also ones relating to the Nazi’s, Hitler, the war, turning in people to the Nazi’s, and more. The group was practically the Nazi party’s own boy scouts. Hitler and the Nazi party were planning on making sure the next generation of Nazi soldiers were going to be perfect. To start off, the Hitler Youth was a group formed by Hitler and the Nazi Party in their plan to make Nazi Germany successful (Zapotocnzy, Jr., Walter S.). The members were taught to prey on the weak, which lead to superiority and bullying (Gottfried, Ted.) Another thing they were taught was about anti-Semitism, which is discrimination against Jews.(Zapotocnzy, Jr., Walter S.). They would raid Jewish shops and just pick on Jews in general. They were told this because of the way Hitler and the Nazi’s thought was right. From the beginning, the members were taught to do things no matter how inhumane; one of the most inhumane things they were taught and did was turn in their own parents to the Nazis. “From childhood, they had been trained to follow orders, no matter how inhumane” (Gottfried, Ted.).
