First, Gandhi cared a lot about the people who lived in India, because of that he was known all over India. Ghandi did so many things in his early years, that he impacted the future a lot in India. Even though Gandhi cared about his people a lot, he didn’t go through nearly as much as Mandela did through out his life. Mandela told about his struggles and why he wanted to fight a lot. In the Ghandi text it only says what he accomplished and not a lot of struggles. It also doesn’t really talk about his struggles a lot. In paragraph 7 it says, “ In South Africa, a man who tried to fulfill his duty to his people who inevitably ripped from his family and home and was forced to live a life apart.” Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela both fought for human rights for the people who were oppressed in their country. Although both men were expeceptional leaders who did their very best.
