Pojman basically says that tolerance is not a merit/value of relativism. He says this because if someone was a relativist, then they don’t have an obligation to be accepting of others. Also, if a person is a relativist, then it is also undeviating for that person to be intolerant of those who disagree. And for relativists, since morality is respective to the culture, and if the culture doesn’t have the rule of tolerance then the people don’t have to be tolerant.
