After watching The Kite Runner, I realized it is not just a story of friendship, betrayal, and guilt in modern Afghanistan, it is the story about faith and becoming an honorable person. The story focuses on two Afghan boys, living different lives both in looks and background, brought together in a community suffering from discrimination. The two main characters Amir and Hassan have spent their childhood growing up together. These boys share a strong friendship at the beginning of this film until they are separated for different reasons. Born into a wealthy Pashtun family, Amir lived with his father in an extravagant house in Kabul, while Hassan grew up as a Hazara servant to their family.
