It is well known that the U.S. tends to intervene in many foreign affairs whether it is for military protection, trade, etc. (Smith 2016). However, after Trump’s victory on November 8, everyone is left wondering where America’s place in the world lies because since the beginning Trump had mentioned that if he got elected as president he would pull America out of many foreign affairs (Baker 2016). This has caused many people to wonder what would happen to the U.S. economy if Trump does decide to pull out of foreign affairs (Baker 2016). Other countries are also concerned about what would happen to their country without U.S. intervention (Yuta 2016). Overall if the U.S. does decide to pull out of foreign affairs it will not just affect other countries but it will also affect the U.S. economy (Baker 2016). Trump has spoken about building a wall to prevent anyone from Mexico from entering the country but Mexico is America’s third largest trading partner, last year there was a $531 billion profit with overall trade between Mexico and America (Baker 2016). The numbers show that America obviously does rely on Mexico and if trade among these countries does stop then both countries would be economically affected since both profit off each other (Baker 2016). There is also Japan who heavily relies on U.S. military for protection due to the Japan-US treaty but with Trump wanting to pull every U.S. military intervention from around the world, many Japanese people are concerned about…
