DJS has developed their customer service by adding specific staff training. Secondly, the wide range of domestic and international brands and convenient location for the target customer also became one of the organisation's strengths. Moreover, the credit card business of DJs cooperated with American Express has generated huge profit for their shareholders, the earning for 2002 increased by $4.3 million to $14.9 million (David Jones Ltd 2002).
In contrast, the total sales were declined by 4.4% from 2010 to 2011 and basis earning per share (EPS) decreased 2.9% likewise. This weakness may lead to the loss of the confidence of external investors (Table 1.3).

As DJs has repositioned the online store, this could be a valuable opportunity.
