The quote “erotic play between children had been regarded as abnormal (there was a roar of laughter)”(21) shows that the current society sees this erotic play between children and even between multiple people as normal and encourages it. If one is not intimate with many different people they are look as abnormal and can possibly be sent away which further shows the change in morals. To even want a relationship is seen as odd because of how the society sees everyone belonging to every one else. Huxley sees a change in his society’s morals and exaggerated them in his book several different ways such as the censoring of the word mom, the erotic play of children, and the production of humans. Huxley not only uses these to show a change in morals for the book but to also support how he sees his own society’s morals changing. Through the use of concrete diction, figurative language, and imagery Huxley gives a very detailed description of a highly technologically advanced world with a highly controlling government with very different morals.
