Sadly, the city I grew up in is also one of the top-rated crime cities that reaches a report of 48,807 violent crime annually. Although this isn't always the case for the entire collection of the south, it is a big issue regarding the place I call home. It's quite frightening when walking outside and not knowing when I could become a victim of a crime that I see flashing across the television screen on a daily basis. Often times when people hear of Memphis, the first thing that goes through their minds is that it's top rated in the worst crime cities in the United States.
Another thing that has an impact on me living in Memphis is that it does not have a lot of things for the younger generation to do. The only amusement park that this city had is now shut down because of the money loss they received.
