Queen of Shadows written by Sarah J. Maas is the last book available in the Throne of Glass series. This series has a total of six books and there is to be one released in September of 2016. Maas also wrote A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury.
The main characters of Queen of Shadows are Aelin Galathynius otherwise know as Celaena Sardothien, Dorian Havilliard, Chaol Westfall, Aedion Ashryver, Rowan Whitethorn and Manon Blackbeak. Some of the minor characters are Asterin Blackbeak, Nesryn Faliq, Elide Lochan and Lysandra. Aelin otherwise know as Celaena is the rightful Queen of Terrasen and ready to take back her kingdom. When she returns to Rifthold after training with Rowan she is ready to kill the king to free the world from the Valg but first vengeance. Her master betrayed her and now wants to bargain for her cousin's life. Arobynn will trade his help to rescue Aelin’s cousin Aedion in exchange for a person inhabited by a Valg demond. After Aedion is rescued Aelin goes to find someone with a Valg controlling them to bring to Arobynn, the trouble is these Valg are warriors and will not go down easily. For incense Maas will describe the same event in the story line with the dialogue and facts of those involved but the thoughts of only one person. Then she will describe the same event with the the thoughts of a different character. The last couple of books in this series follows many different storylines but in Queen of Shadows the different storyline intersect. This kind of writing is really engaging and gives you a feeling that you are in the know about events that the characters don’t know about which also give you a feeling of anticipation in seeing if the characters will find out about some master trap or fall into
