Walter Neff is an anti-hero who suffers, and is flawed. He is the perfect anti-hero because he is a good guy who commits crimes such as murder. We see more of the hero as we watch him try and save Phyllis Dietrichson, from her husband who claims he abuses her. He kills Mr. Dietrichson this also makes him kind of naive for believing her, this shows a weaker side of him. There is a side of him where he feels guilty for killing an unknowing innocent person. He also feels bad for Lolla. We seem him spending time with her after he kills her father. He spends to with her to make sure she is okay, he also does this to make sure she doesn't figure out what he did. He also tries to keep as many people out of it as he can. Ninos was planning to see Phyllis as he was walking toward the door, Walter calls him over and tells him to go find Lolla and be with her. Walter could’ve framed the first and second murder on Ninos. Phyllis started getting Ninos involved with the crimes Walter and her were committing, which would have made it much easier to frame Ninos and walk a free man.
