Diabetes is a disease that affects millions of people in the world. This disease prohibits people from eating certain foods and doing certain things. Patients have to carry supplies with them when they are out and about. Diabetes is a serious disease but by understanding the symptoms, causes, and treatments, patients can live a normal life.
The symptoms of Diabetes vary from person to person and the type of Diabetes the person has. In type one diabetes, symptoms that people with this face are urinating often, feeling very thirst, feeling very hungry and extreme fatigue (American). These symptoms may prohibit a person from doing what they love. The symptoms normally show up during different stages in a person’s life. In some patients, the symptoms normally show up during the patient’s childhood. They can also show up duing the adolescent stage (Mayo). My grandfather and his brother both developed type one diabetes when they were sixteen years old. In type two diabetes, some of the symptoms are nausea, blurred vision, tingling and numbness, and pain in both hands and legs (Everyday). The symptoms normally show up during different stages in the patients life. Type two diabetes develops at any age but is the most common in people ages forty and above (Mayo). Not everyone develops the same symptoms or show any symptoms at all. A patient may show symptoms earlier than the estimated stage.
