First off, the different language that both tribes spoke. The Dene people, mostly spoke Tlingit, while the Inuit tribes, mostly spoke Inuit, their own language named after them. The tribes were called a different name because it was a different person with a different, and possible more diverse, mindset who created the tribe. Different languages and names came with that too. Next up, the elevation. They both lived in disparate parts of North America, one in Canada, whilst one living in Alaska. That also means different elevation. The Dene people tribes had the average elevation of 4,750 feet, and the Inuit tribes, due to living in the coastal parts of Alaska, have the average elevation of 675 feet above sea level. Different elevation can change things such as the kind of available minerals, building materials and even types of game(food).
