Back in the early to mid-1900, segregation was an enormous problem that we had as Americans. African-Americans being sprayed with fire hoses during the Civil Rights movement back in the 1960’s. As we started progressing throughout the decades of time it took to unite as one, there were many things that will still hold minorities back till this day. Many events have happened since the desegregation like the 9/11 Attack that created xenophobia and stirred controversy and rumors left and right around Muslims and how they’re all deemed as “terrorists” by the ignorant, being an example.
