After the publication of “Into the Wild,” by Jon Krakauer, a book about a young man named Christopher McCandless, a great mass of people came forward and criticized McCandless (include more) Included in this group is Peter Christian, an Alaska Park Ranger that believed Chris as an “stupid, tragic, and inconsiderate,” man that essentially had a death wish. However, what may be interpreted as a foolish act by some was actually McCandless’ way of pursuing his dreams. In fact, McCandless shares the similarities of a hero because he was brave enough to leave everything and follow through with his dreams.
