10. The Frenzy Slayer In the role of the youngest child of Elizabeth and Danny, Noel Michael Winters spent his childhood years in Milledgeville, Saint John NB. While a small child a number of individuals recall that he was polite, while some recall that Noel was tremendously stubborn child. Comparable to any young boy his age, Noel frequently visited the principal's office for the duration of his school days.…
To say that I am a reader would be a stretch. I can not remember the last time I picked up a book for my own personal pleasure. Some would say that should bother me, but I can’t agree with the reasoning behind it. Mostly people bring up how books have broadened their horizons and changed their way of thinking, which is something I can’t relate to. Instead, I would say that I agree with what a good book should do, but I can‘t say I have found a good book, or a page turner if you will.…
The biggest problems in America that I’ll briefly go over are drug addiction, depression, and education. Education is the stronghold to solving predicaments within a community as well as worldwide. As different as every person can be we are still one thing, a human. A special thing about us is that we can share a bond, an emotion, and I believe we’ve become cultural psychopaths who don’t empathize with people who are different from us. Disclaimer:…
Appreciating and Embracing our Unique Identities For me, I had always thought that literature was used as a scapegoat mechanism to escape reality, even if it was for a short period of time. Although I do not read as much before, I believe literary works allow us to analyze the deeper implicit meaning behind the ideas being presented by society. Before this course, I had failed to realize the impact to which a novel impacts the way I identify myself and appreciate my unique personality. This analysis helped me realize that not all forms of literature are true to reality. As a result, I believe that reading literature teaches us to appreciate and embrace our own identities to some extent.…
The argument presented in The Twilight Zone's “ The Howling Man,” episode is particularly interesting because of its content. In the episode, the audience is presented with David Ellington's entrance into an oddly strange castle. The scenery, being the strange castle, will be representative of Ellington's feelings since it develops a sense of mystery that is key to the story. Ellington engages in a conversation with Brother Jerome, who is a bearded man with a staff, similar to the representations of Bible figures. Brother Jerome's abnormality is significant in the story since it will pave uncertainty in his argument.…
Wanex 5-2 The Downsides of Hate Reading Pamela Paul’s article “Why You Should Read Books You Hate” is an intriguing read that focuses on the importance of reading books that are unappealing to the specific reader. She thoroughly explains that pursuing novels with subjects that do not interest the reader makes them a more skeptical and scrupulous critic. In addition, she details the pleasure that reading brings to all as well as the magnitude of the time commitment that it requires in comparison to other activities that expose people to new content.…
Extra credit response #1 Out of the list of movies that was available to watch, I chose “Embrace of the Serpent” out of complete curiosity. The movie was quite unique I would have to say. The plot was about an Indian man named Karamakate who was the last shaman that survived from his tribe. His mission was to travel two scientists to find a sacred plant called Yakruna. Both these missions occurred at two different periods in Karmakate’s life and both men were out to find it out of selfish ambition.…
On February 29, 1960, Ricardo Leyva Muñoz Ramirez was born in El Paso Texas. Twenty-five years later, Ricardo, now known as Richard, became “The Night Stalker”: enemy number one of the city of Los Angeles. Ramirez moved to Los Angeles when he was eighteen years old and slowly began his reign of terror over the city. His crimes evolved from burglaries to the extremely violent rapes and murders of dozens of women. Ramirez was not born with the skills and drives to commit these acts.…

In the film Silence of the Lambs (Demme, 1991) the entire scheme is built across 3 key characters. Clarice Starling is an intelligent FBI apprentice who is put hooked on the situation of trying to disentangle the intellect of a wicked mastermind, Hannibal Lecter, in demand to discover the solutions wanted to apprehend the serialized murderer, Jame Gumb, also recognized as Mr. Buffalo Bill. The emotional experience is very sturdy in all of the characters, lending to their credibility, excluding for certain delicate relations amongst the atmospheres of Hannibal and Jame. The conspiracy of Gumb with the many insects of moths is predominantly significance in noting, because there is extremely little suggestion of previous villains being recognized as partaking in this sort of post mortem beautification, yet the judgment of the impression is unimpeachable. Starling is the hero in the film, and the mainstream of the story takes residence…
The production of She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen was performed by the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film and directed by Wesley Broulik. I attended the performance on April 9th, 2016 at 7:30 pm. Overall, I really enjoyed the performance. The whole plot of the story kept me very intrigued. Normally by just reading the title I wouldn’t choose to go see this performance, but was very pleased with how it was all performed and organized.…

Hush is a horror movie about a woman named Madison Young. Maddie is a mute author, who temporarily lost her hearing and her speaking ability when she contracted bacterial meningitis when she was 13. She ended up losing both her hearing and her speaking ability after she had a surgery that went wrong. Due to Maddie’s disabilities, Hush presents an emphasis on isolation and the importance of existential awareness that other horror movies fail to provide. Hush is different because most of the movie there isn't much noise and dialogue, especially when we’re in Maddie’s point of view.…
