C.R.S. § 12-43-222(i) Engaged in a relationship with the client which can impair the counselor’s judgement. Jordan, without her supervisor’s knowledge or approval make decisions to engage in a relationship with the client.

The incident of discriminatory remarks needs to be documented, and the person needs to be talked to regarding the situation (ACA. 2014, I.1.b.).
Bring the concern and ethical violation to the person’s attention, trying to resolve the issue informally first (ACA, 2014, I.2.a)
If neither of these are successful in resolving the issue actions can include “referring to the state or national committees on professional ethics, voluntary national certification bodies, state licensing boards, or appropriate institutional authorities” (ACA, 2014, I.2.b.) (p.19)

It would be important for the doctor to be aware of the depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideations, especially when prescribing medications. When professionals can work together regarding a person’s entire wellbeing, physical and mental the chances for the client to achieve optimal health body and mind the better off the client will be. Of Course, only pertinent information needs to be exchanged.
Social Worker Depending in the situation of the client and if the family is involved because children’s involvement. It could be important for both the counselor and the social worker to communicate to better serve to client and their family. A release would be needed for both professionals to communicate the needs of both the client and their family. Insuring the client is working on issues that are relevant to their immediate concerns.
Religious / Spiritual Leader It could be useful to the client if another professional they look up to is aware of the anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideations they experience. Therefore, this professional can be observant of their parishioner and watch for activity
