One of Tarzan's best friend (who was an elephant) broke open the ship setting Tarzan free, Tarzan now freed, makes his was to his family only to find that his father (Kerchak) is dead. Tarzan, now the only one who can physically protect his family because of Kerchaks passing, has to fight Clayton who has advanced killing weapons like a shotgun and knife. Jordan Shung who was a great baseball player ounce found one of his baseball games to be like a battle of David and Goliath, even thought the odds were against his team he said this, "Always remember... Goliath was a 40 point favorite over David." meaning there is always a chance of victory. As predicted Clayton starts cutting every vine he sees in front of him to get Tarzan, not noticing that the vines are wrapping around his neck and limbs, still he cuts every vine out of anger and he himself ends the fight by cutting the only vine he was hanging from. Clayton, now having nothing to hold on to, falls and hangs himself with the vines he wasn't paying attention to. Tarzan still won the fight with the odds against him because unlike Clayton he grew and lived in the jungle raised by animals, while Clayton hasn't and only knows civilization around humans and cities. In the end, after Clayton died, his crew left the jungle and never came back again because from that day on Tarzan was the protector of the
