The play Antigone is a tragedy play that most of the characters were killed at the end. The central theme of this play is “civil disobedience”. The setting takes place in the palace where Creon lived; the time period that the play should be the dawn. The play is about Creon passing a decree saying no one is allowed to bury the dead body of the dishonored traitor, Polyneices because he believes in the order of supreme and all his citizens has to obey him. Antigone in the other hand doesn’t want his brother to be treated like that so asked her sister, Ismene bury Polyneices’ body with her, but she refused.
