Persuasive Essay On Antigone

Antigone should be remembered as a terrorist because she publicly defied Creon's law, and she was too stubborn to know when to stop herself. Antigone acted terroristic towards us and our king, she had disrespected and purposely defied the laws that were written in stone. The stubbornness that Antigone possessed was beyond fixable and she couldn’t stop herself from making even more mistakes. Antigone is a terrorist for various reasons. Her intentions are solid, but when she tried to carry them out they put others in harm's way. Antigone was unable to predict the consequences that followed. In the process she was very stubborn with what she did. “Look upon me, friends, and pity me,” (pg 225) she had finally realized at that point she messed up. She was more loyal to her family rather than the city which was dangerous. She went against the law and buried her brother. This act was a terroristic manner because she put others in harms way. If she hadn't made it more public than she might have gotten away with it, with fewer consequences.
