In the documentary, I thought it was crazy with the number of people that get knocked off their rafts and into the deadly waters, I would have thought that if so many people get killed because they fall off the rafts people would stop trying. But since their lives are so bad, they’d do anything to escape their country. I also think that it is unbelievably hard for you to do your job because you have to rescue so many people and there are only 4 to 5 coast guard personnel on the ship. I also think that it would be so hard to have to rescue the unconscious children, and then be required to perform CPR without any training. I think that if I were to do this job it would be emotionally and physically hard, because of all of the people you have to rescue. I think that a documentary was the best choice because it gave the audience the ability to see the difficulties they face. Because in the documentary you can see pictures and videos of what really happens in the water and on the ship. Also in the documentary, you can hear the splashes and noises that the refugees are making which shows and makes a big impact. I believe if the author was to write an article or essay, it would have been extremely ineffective because there would be no way to hear the noises or see the people in the water or on the land. These are a few of the reasons why I think the documentary was the most effective way to show these
