Manipulated, harassed, and thrown into unsafe experiences; we need to stop testing on animals. We are putting them through way more than we should, and that needs to end. We treat them like they’re objects to be used, but they are living beings. Research on animals has been practiced since around 500 BC. Animals are used to help improve medical treatments, determine toxicity in medications, and check safety in human products and other biomedical, commercial, and health care uses. Almost every medical breakthrough in the last one hundred years has been caused by using animals for research purposes. To this day, people argue if animals are being put through agony and pain

We need to stop testing innocent animals, it's inhumane and cruel. There are other ways to get the information you need. Each year, more than 110 million animals are killed in U.S. laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, curiosity-driven experiments, and other forms of testing. Before their deaths, some are forced to inhale toxic fumes, others are immobilized in restraint devices for hours, some have holes drilled into their skulls, and others have their spinal cords crushed. In addition to the torture, animals have everything that is natural and important to them stolen. In March of 2019, Teddy and 31 other dogs went viral in footage of them being used in an undercover investigation. Teddy was born at Marshall BioResources with one purpose, to be sold to a laboratory where he would be used in torment experiments and then killed. Thankfully, he was saved when hundreds of thousands of people demanded that dogs be released from Charles River Laboratories. After weeks of pressure from the public, the company agreed to release the dogs. 31 dogs were saved this time, but who's to say they will be next? What about the other animals: mice, frogs, rabbits, hamsters, cats, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds? There are many negatives to animal

Imagine having the choice of life or death left in your hands alone. On one end, there is a rat, who is energetically running to find a hiding spot from the broom sweeping across the floor. On the other end, there is a stay-at-home mom, jumped up on the table, violently stabbing at the rat in attempts to scare it away from her. One of them will die. Most people would choose to save the stay-at-home mother with three children and not have a guilty thought cross their mind.…

Animals are used in many aspects of our society today. From food products to search and rescue, the creatures we live with have been integrated into our lives. However, the respect and courtesy to animals (and the help they give) is often quite miniscule, especially with animal testing. Even though the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) was enacted in the 1960s to prevent animal cruelty in laboratories, it still occurs on a regular basis(Susan C. Hanicutt). First, animals that are experimented on are often subjected to diseases.…

The dangerous use if the animals in experiments is not only brutal but also often ineffective. In reality animals do not get half as many of the human diseases that us people do. there paramount diseases include the many types of cancer, heart disease, HIV, and Parkinson's. Testing on animals should be outlawed because it causes needless suffering on animals, other procedures are available, and results are often inaccurate. Fighting against the testing on Gods animals, should be more than a debate, more than a slogan; it needs to be a genuine practice.…

However, the respect and courtesy to animals (and the help they give) is sometimes quite miniscule, especially with animal testing, where they are subjected to diseases, malnutrition, and separation from their natural groups. Medical procedures have advanced incredibly in the last few decades thanks to animal testing. However, the procedures used to obtain these advances have been both inhuman and painful to the animals used as test subjects, from being exposed to deadly diseases , or getting deprived of food and water, to getting torn away from family members.…

Payton Keife Nick DiMeo English 101 11 November 2017 Is Animal Experimentation Inhumane? Animal experimentation is known and used worldwide; from testing beauty products to medication, thousands of animals are harmed daily by fumes and chemicals, leaving them traumatized. There are many other solutions determining if products are harmful or not, yet, they are rarely used. The use of animals during testing, should most likely be banned and throughout the world, because it has been proven to be less accurate and more harmful. Although animal testing is thought to be “life-saving”, it has also been categorized as inhumane and cruel.…

Animal testing is very harmful to the animals because when the scientist use the animals they can suffer from being burned, having their spines crushed, being blinded, drowned and much more. The animals that are used in studies can suffer long-term effects such as electrical shock and social isolation (“Animals in Science…”). Most of the animals that are used don’t receive painkillers, so instead they have to suffer until the tests are completed. Many of these…

Researchers don't have authority to let poor innocent animals be the victims of their “tests” Humans fail to classify the difference between what is right and what is not. As a kid, I used to believe that people care and love animals. Even most religions state we should be merciful and display our kindness to them, so why are we opposing it by torturing them in our experiments? Animal testing is life wasting. The U.S alone drains $16 billion dollars ANNUALLY just to run animal tests that are not even accurate.…

Animals are subject to treatments and experimented on “in the name of science.” However, a lot of these experiments are conducted under terrible conditions, and the results cannot even be applied to human medicine and health. Also, with all of the advancements in technology we have made in recent years, we have plenty of alternative testing methods that we could use instead of animal experimenting.…

Existing laws and policies require that lab animals be treated humanely, but there is no escaping the fact that many suffer unavoidable pain. Although animal experimentation has been, and still is, vital to many types of research, extremists in the Animal Rights Movement contend that animals are morally equal to people and that humanity benefits do not justify any use of them whatsoever(Greenhaven Press, 2015). If people stop experimenting on animal on this day, it is true that animals that were experimented on will live more abundantly and flourish, but we will ever know if there will be a scientific breakthrough in medicine and a cure for cancer…

According to Cruelty Free International (N.d.), the testing on the animals include, but are not limited to, the animals being forced to ingest substances, or have chemicals rubbed on or injected into their bodies. These tests more often than not end in the animals being killed so that researchers may examine the ways their organs and body tissue has been affected (N.d.). Though animals may not be able to advocate for themselves, this does not mean we should not outlaw and defend them from these sickening practices. Forcing anyone or anything to be a participant in an experiment against their will is unacceptable, and should be seen as such, even if it is in that name of science. Alternatives to this need to be created immediately, and this issue can no longer be ignored.…
