Manipulated, harassed, and thrown into unsafe experiences; we need to stop testing on animals. We are putting them through way more than we should, and that needs to end. We treat them like they’re objects to be used, but they are living beings. Research on animals has been practiced since around 500 BC. Animals are used to help improve medical treatments, determine toxicity in medications, and check safety in human products and other biomedical, commercial, and health care uses. We need to stop testing innocent animals, it's inhumane and cruel. There are other ways to get the information you need. Each year, more than 110 million animals are killed in U.S. laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, curiosity-driven experiments, and other forms of testing. Before their deaths, some are forced to inhale toxic fumes, others are immobilized in restraint devices for hours, some have holes drilled into their skulls, and others have their spinal cords crushed. In addition to the torture, animals have everything that is natural and important to them stolen. In March of 2019, Teddy and 31 other dogs went viral in footage of them being used in an undercover investigation. Teddy was born at Marshall BioResources with one purpose, to be sold to a laboratory where he would be used in torment experiments and then killed. Thankfully, he was saved when hundreds of thousands of people demanded that dogs be released from Charles River Laboratories. After weeks of pressure from the public, the company agreed to release the dogs. 31 dogs were saved this time, but who's to say they will be next? What about the other animals: mice, frogs, rabbits, hamsters, cats, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds? There are many negatives to animal
