1. The subject, Bagby Company, has a dilemma between a specialized task assignment or broad task assignment. A specialized task entails designating an employee to a specific group of tasks that has a concentration in one functional capacity. As workers, for the wire harness, are placed into one group, its members are not expected discuss information with other groups. Moreover, when it loses a member, it will have to wait until a fill can be found. The wire harness makers can be grouped into another subgroup, which is based on the product. Each worker that is tasked to do a different function on a specific product can be grouped as one group. With a grouping of this type, Bagby Copy Company may not do as well in terms of production. Bagby may have an imbalance of workers working on each of their product. Also, the development of newly made products should lead to employing new workers and training them. Equally as important is the fact, that if one worker is unable to perform the work, the group will not be able to pull another to fill in; thus affecting the production of the group.

3) For Bagby to organizing its international operations, it has two options. It can organize its foreign operations around its products or create a matrix organization. If it chooses to Organize its foreign operations around products, it will create 10 international product managers who will have influential rights for supervising the production and sale of a specific copiers throughout Europe.
