They say that all men are created equal, eh? Not everyone believes that, but it is true. All of us, every single human, is the same. An increase of melanin affecting the the skin tone of a human doesn’t make it okay to ridicule or abuse them. People have been told they can’t do things, such as have certain jobs, live in certain places, or have a good education, based on the color of their skin, their nationality, or their religion. This is called segregation. Segregation is wrong, no matter what race or group of people is being segregated. This infringes on their natural, God-given rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Everyone has a right to life. That’s why we’re born, isn’t it? To live? Who cares if one is born different from another? People care if you’re born different because that gives them something to ridicule and judge you with. What if we got rid of all of the racists, prejudiced people, chauvinists, intolerant people, and xenophobes? Most of the world would have to be gone in order for that to happen. But imagine their minds could be changed. “Imagine all the people living life in peace” (Lennon). Imagine everyone agreeing on things that are important to all, not just to some. If someone believes something different from your beliefs, if someone does something contrary to your beliefs, if someone looks different, it is okay. They’re human, you’re human, and as a wise student of American History once mentioned, there is one race, the human race.…
