The priority of the immediate and self drives the notion of ideologies such as the common phrase in America when it comes to certain constitutional rights per the colloquial statement of a “free country” presenting an allusion to the American Bill of Rights, especially when constitutional notions may seemingly appear violated. Great benefits of individualism psychologically speaking include an unlimited ideal of opportunity, ability to find solace in the self as well as greater ideal of the collective when it comes to group activities, although negatives include increased competition and activities such as crime and domestic issues will often hamper the positives, leading to more violence, among other social problems. As a Canadian myself, this initiative greets itself with its own social norm, as all Canadians must uphold a social responsibility to the environment and limiting landfills, a direct cause of organizations such as the Recycling Council of Ontario forging change through social alterations, specifically “shared responsibility” as environmental conservatism writes itself into the social norms of the country (Recycling Council of Toronto).
