From the data, Harding was able to compare the information found from the theories and the NELS data. to the interviews that he conducted with the 60 young boys within the three different neighborhoods. His finding were all stated similar ideas and outcomes. Thus, Harding (2009) concluded that "disadvantaged neighborhoods, in comparison with more advantaged ones, have more cross-age social interaction" (p. 462). There are many reasons as to why the younger aged boys tend to socialize with the older aged individuals. There is clearly a difference between disadvantaged neighborhoods and more advantaged neighborhoods. They have a different way of living and socializing with their peers.
