What is the purpose of a DCPM? |
To enable the points to be operated either remotely by a signaller, or in case of failure, manually by a competent employee under the instructions of the signaller or the train controller |

When will a protecting train be used, and how far will they be from the rescuing train |
Used for when a rescuing train is doing a wrong line move, and the arriving location is protected by a train that is at least 100m from where the wrong live movement will end |

What is the rescuing driver's duty when reaching the arriving location, when it is a signal box? |
Stop a minimum of 100m from the outer most set of points and obtain permission from the controlling signaller, either verbal or the signal |

How do you cancel a TA? |
Writing cancelled, time and date, and signing across the face of the form |

What do you do if arriving at an unattended location with your TA during rescue? |
Driver must confirm that the train has arrived complete, cancel the TA and notify train controller of when it was cancelled |

The driver must stop the train approximately 3 metres short of the crossing, and encroach cautiously until it activates When driving over it, use the whistle frequently, pass over the crossing cautiously, don't exceed 15km/h, be aware of any vehicles or pedestrians that may foul the crossing |
