1. Zone of protection - root cap protects root cells. 2. Meristematic zone - where mitosis occurs in a plant (new cells) 3. Zone of elongation - here cells grown longer. 4. Zone of differentiation - elongated cells develop into vascular, dermal & ground tissue. |
