Baroque. He was born in Germany. He studied in the attic b/c his dad didnt want him studying music. He traveled to Italy to learn Italian opera, then traveled to London. He played for King George 1. He composed the water music suite, which is a dance suite but with no dancing and was for the ear. He provided the king and the lesser people with evening entertainment. He created the Royal Academy of Music which was an opera company. He created oratorios and wrote carnation music for the royal family.

Classical; he was born in Austria. He played for Prince Esterhazy, from Hungary. Haydn was his musical servant until the Prince died. His son didnt appreciate music, and fired Haydn, but still paid him. Haydn wrote a farewell symphony for the Prince that was a way for the Prince to get his point that it was time for the musicians to go home. He was known as Papa Haydn because he was the father of the symphanies (104) and string quartet (2 violins, viola, cello). He died at 77. He went to London and played and he received great commission

Classical. His dad taught him to play. He's a musical genius. He is from Salsburg and he traveled to Vienna to learn how to play. He was attracted to the Enlightenment (age of reason) and it inspired him to write operas for the middle class. One of his last pieces was the Magic Flute. He died while composing his Requiem (35 years old) All of his compositions have K ___ which represent a catalog system created by a lawyer named Kochel.
