Rewards-costs=outcome Relationships suffer when one partner feels underbenefited. The equation is used to determine if another person is a "good deal" or "not worth the effort." |

Disclosure- builds liking; when others share private info with you it makes it seem like they respect and trust you. Competence- love to be around talented people because we hope that rubs off on us. Not too talented though, makes them look bad. |
