Martin Luther
Martin Luther was priest who was against the sale of indulgences. To combat this, he came up with his own beliefs, such as the 95 Theses, and started the Proestant Reformation. This converted many people to the Lutheran faith.
Predestination
Predestination is the idea that God has already chosen those who would gain salvation
Free Will
Free Will is the ability people have to choose their own things to do or believe in.
John Calvin
John calvin had similar ideas of Martin Luther. He thought that the Catholic Church was wrong in the selling of indulgences and created his own beliefs. He also believed in the idea of predestination.
Thomas More
Sir Thomas More was a humanist judge in the Northern Ranissance. He was put to death when he didn't support King Henry VIII in the taking over of the English Church.
Indulgence
An indulgence is a pardon from all sins given to those who are very holy or it could have been purchased by a peasant.
