Alpha: Peripheral vasoconstriction with increases coronary and cerebral perfusion and increases blood pressure in anaphylaxis.
Beta1: Increases heart rate and improves force of ventricular contractions. Beta2: Bronchodilation |

Precautions: |
CPR: None
Anaphylaxis: Use cautiously in patients with COPD, CHF history of AMI or heart disease - older than 45 y.o. hypertension, arrhythmias and labor. Monitor ECG closely, watching for arrhythmias/ pts on beta blockers may need Glucagon or higher doses of epinephrine. Do not nmix with Sodium Bicarbonate; flush tubing well between drug. |
