What is the Command Advancement Program (CAP)?
The CAP program allows COs to advance sailors into these three paygrades.
What are E4, E5, and E6?
This is the year when the CAP program was established.

You must have been with a CAP eligible command for at least this number of days to be eligible.
What is 30?

What are strikers?
These are three examples of ratings, requiring special selection processses, which COs cannot CAP strikers into.
What are MA, RP, and DM?
COs cannot CAP strikers into ratings which are listed as "A" school required in the current edition of this NAVADMIN.
What is the Rating Entry for General Apprentices (REGA)?
Unlike the advancement exams, COs cannot CAP individuals using "EP" chits to override this requirement.
What is Time In Rate?
This type of official, unable to CAP themselves, may recommend CAP advancements to the parent command.
What are OICs?
Advancement quota limitations extend from this day to this day.
