Each recruiting district is responsible for obtaining their fiscal year recruiting goal, objectives that are established by Congress prior to each fiscal year that begins October 1st of each year. Each recruiting district is comprised of employees who are employed to accomplish the mission of their specific recruiting command which ultimately contributes to the goal objective of the Navy Recruiting Command.
Although the mission of the Navy will always be important and individual will always answer our nations call to serve and protect out county, there are issues within navy recruiting that has hampered the overall success of the organization. Major issues affecting NRC are the issue with communication, employee evaluation and policy changes that have been implemented without understanding the ramification on how the changes would affect the recruiting operations overall. With the various levels of management within NRC communication does not flow as smoothly as it should. Each recruiting district is required to operate under specific guidance and as an organization each district should strive to accomplish their assigned activity monthly as a collective entity. However, not every district operates in the best interest of the other recruiting districts. In some cases recruiting districts sometimes bend the rules to allow applicants who do not meet the full eligibility requirement to enter naval service. This issue creates challenges of other
